Children’s Literature Assembly Breakfast

On Sunday, November 20th, enjoy a delicious breakfast and hear from award-winning children’s author and illustrator Christopher Myers. Christopher is the recipient of a number of awards for his children’s books, including a Caldecott Honor for Harlem, authored by his late father, Walter Dean Myers and Black Cat, a solo work that was named a Coretta Scott King Honor Book. In addition, you will be able to catch the excitement of the silent auction of picturebook art and enter the raffle to win a set of the 2016 Notable Children’s Books in the Language Arts. Winners of the Bonnie Campbell Hill National Literacy Leader Award, the Children’s Literature Assembly Research Award, and the Children’s Literature Assembly Early Career Award will also be honored.
